Book
Chapter One: I would see someone on the street or someone at our church looking gaunt and sickly; I never understood why they would wear headscarves or why they were bald headed, and sometimes their eyebrows would be gone. When I was told that person had cancer and they were going through chemotherapy, it frightened me.
Chapter Two: By this time, years had passed and I felt that my husband and I would not be getting back together so I filed for a divorce. One time I had a dream that he came back to me and in the dream, he was clean as a newborn baby.
Chapter Three: A nurse came into my room and said, "We found out that you have Hodgkin's disease." "What is Hodgkin's disease?" I ask her. "It is a form of cancer." She said it with a very cold and uncaring edge.
