About the Author
Monica was born in San Diego, California, in 1955, and raised strongly in Christianity. Music has always been a big part of her life. She’s been singing since she was four years old, and has sung with groups, choirs, in duets and participated in a variety of musical events. Monica is a songwriter, arranger and producer of her own material.
She attended college at Oral Roberts University, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Monica has performed on secular stages all over America and abroad. She has traveled as far as Africa, Japan and Germany. She was the opening act for Stephanie Mills and the Whispers. She has recorded in a variety of studios, doing lead and backup for various recording artists, including her brother, Carlton Pearson, Candi Staton, and her friend Carman. She has also done various live videos. Monica has interviewed with radio and television stations, and had the opportunity to talk to three countries via the Internet regarding health.
However, Monica is not only a singer, but also an author. Her primary concern is to fulfill her purpose in life, in both music and health. She wants the world to know that real healing has to be in the mind, body and spirit. Monica has encountered the challenge that many of us face – the awful disease called cancer. She not only endured it once, but twice.
It came again after trying to destroy everything it touched. Her story will give you the devices you need and an opportunity to receive healing in your body and hope for your future. This story is not just about her; it’s also about Leslie A. Hopkins, the love of her life. From darkness, deception and defeat, to triumph and victory, they made it through against all odds. She will explain the importance of wholeness and health. Monica’s goals also include reaching out to help the lost and lonely and to remind the people that Jesus is soon to come.
